FinTech Scotland was born out of a partnership between the public and private sectors around a growth and employment objective to secure Scotland’s place as one of the leading centers of fintech.

Scotland has all the necessary components to capitalize on this new merger of financial services and technology to develop a thriving FinTech ecosystem and a global center of excellence. To compete on a global scale, FinTech Scotland was launched to drive growth and jobs.

The company was registered in the summer of 2017 and its first CEO, Stephen Ingledew, was appointed in January 2018.
